Position: Substitute Paraprofessional

 

  

Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

 

 

Job Description:

 

Substitute paraprofessional may be used in either a classroom or office setting as follows: 

 

Classroom: Ability and demonstrated aptitude in the instruction of students in assigned area. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of general office equipment. Physically capable of meeting all performance responsibilities required with students, including stooping, bending and lifting.

 

Office: Assist in facilitating the efficient operation of the campus administration office and provide clerical services to the administrative staff. Knowledge of general office equipment.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Classroom: Assist the teacher(s) in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management and instruction. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.

 

Office: Assist in routine work activities, facilitating the efficient operation of the campus administrative office and provide clerical services to the administrative staff.
