Position: Attendance Clerk

Location: James H. Baker Sixth Grade Campus

 

 

Primary Purpose: Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades.
Facilitate the efficient management of data required for the school administrative information system. Provide training to building staff on the operation of the data management system.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
  2. Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.
  3. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
  4. Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator.
  5. Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
    1. Organize and manage daily data entry tasks as assigned by supervisor.
    2. Provide training to building staff on eSchool operations.
    3. Work with PEIMS administrator to facilitate the editing of required PEIMS reports.
    4.  Produce reports for administrators as needed.

    5. Keep daily backup records of all special files and programs.

    6. Run report cards, progress reports, and grade file sheets as needed.

    7. Produce mailing labels as needed for particular administration purposes.

    8. Maintain files for the campus administration.

    9. Work with eSchool administrator to input data in the areas of scheduling, discipline, and student demographic information.

    10. Keep accurate daily records of file updates and changes.

  4. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  5. Perform duties as assigned by the campus administration.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours

The district contributes $400/monthly to the cost of "employee-only" health insurance which is $175/monthly greater than the state required amount of $225/monthly.

 

 

Pay Grade: PG 3, 200 Days

 

Minimum:  $14.31

Midpoint:   $17.24

Maximum: $20.17
