Position: Teacher, Asst. Band Director - High School

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an instrumental music field from an accredited university
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in subject area assigned
• Strong communication, public relations, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing instrumental music

 The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.

Pay Grade     

• $60,000 for beginning teachers with "0" years experience.  
• Salary based on experience
• $1,000 Master's Degree stipend
• Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree stipend
• $7,000 Assistant Band Director - High School stipend

 

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

• Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
• Motion: Frequent walking
• Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
• Environment: Work inside and outside, exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress
