Teacher, In-School Suspension (ISS)/Coach - Updated
Major Responsibilities
Assist classroom teachers and administrators in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction. Work with individual students or small groups to complete instructional assignments and activities. Work under the general supervision of the principal and campus administration. Perform all other duties as assigned by the campus supervisor(s).
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate in subject area (Generalist 4-8 preferred)
- Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
- Coaching experience preferred

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month
Assignment 10 Duty Months
Salary:
- $60, 000 for beginning teacher with "0" years experience
- $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
- Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
- Sports stipends based on assignment and LPISD Compensation Plan
Pay Grade: Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months
