Position: Teacher, Assistant Orchestra Director
Location: James H. Baker 6th Grade Campus/La Porte High School
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate
- Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
- Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing instrumental music
Responsibilities:
- Specific knowledge of subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
Salary:
- $60,000 for Beginning teacher with "0" years experience
- $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
- Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
- $1,250 Orchestra Assistant Director 6th Grade Campus Stipend
- $2,000 Orchestra Assistnat Director La Porte High School
Pay Grade: Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months
