Position: Teacher, Orchestra Director

 

Campus: James H. Baker Sixth Grade Campus

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate
• Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
• Experience in all levels of music preferred

Responsibilities:

• Specific knowledge of subject assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills
• Supervise assistant directors

Salary:                                  

• $60,000 for beginning teacher with "0" years experience 
• $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
• Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda 
• $2,500 Stipend - Baker 6th Grade Orchestra Director  

Pay Grade: Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
