Position: 2023-2024 Special Education - ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) Teacher

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate - Elementary Core (EC-6) and Special Education EC-12 
• Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment

Job Description:

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities, structure and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth
• Prepare lessons that reflect strategies designed specifically for the academic, social and behavioral needs of students
• Work cooperatively with general education teachers to adjust behavioral approaches as needed for students to access the curriculum
• Provide direct instruction to support self-discipline and transition to the general education classroom with support from the ECSE teacher or paraprofessional
• Maintain open communication with campus administrators and district special programs staff
• Other duties required by campus/district supervisors reflective of district policies and procedures                             

Salary:                                  

• $60,000 for beginning teacher with "0" years experience 
• $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
• Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
• $3,000 Stipend - ECSE Teacher

Pay Grade: Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
