2022-2023 Teacher, Dance/Assistant Drill Team Director
- Teach assigned subject areas, including Dance I, according to the TEKS
- Work collaboratively with Chato Team Director to vertically align Dance 1 class curriculum
- Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in activities
- Work in a cooperative partnership with High School Dance Team Director for performances
- Support dance team activities, if applicable
- Assist with all Chato Drill team activities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate in subject areas(s) assigned, including Dance and possibly Physical Education or other assigned content area(s)
- Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Dance (Fine Arts) and subject area(s) assigned
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures and data
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.

Pay Grade
- $58,000 for Beginning teacher with "0" years experience
- $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
- Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
- Stipends will be offered for applicable fine arts assignments as designated in the LPISD Compensation Plan
