Assistant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-A)
Plan and provide direct therapy to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with student’s ability to derive full benefit from educational program.Japy to students consistent with speech/language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Texas License as a speech language pathology assistant granted by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Skill in the use of tests and measurements for assessing speech-language disorders
- Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech, language, and hearing disorders
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned
Experience:
One year of supervised clinical speech language pathology assistant experience
