Position: Cafeteria Manager I-Lomax Elementary School
Job Description:
Responsible for the supervision and management of the campus school nutrition operation. Responsible to ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served in a safe and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities:

Ensure food production standards are met to guarantee the safety and quality of food according to federal, state and local policies, procedures and regulations.

Direct daily activities in the food production areas and serving lines.

Supervise, train and evaluate employees promoting efficiency, employee morale and teamwork

Follow established food safety (HACCP) procedures to ensure standards of cleanliness, health and food safety.

Maintain accurate reports of daily and monthly financial, food production and student activity records.

Complete 10 hours of professional development training annually per USDA Professional Standards policy.
Qualifications:
- GED/High School Diploma
- San Jacinto College School Nutrition Certification course completion, Region 4 Manager’s Academy Program or TASN Level 4 Certification
- Working knowledge of methods, materials, equipment used in school nutrition quantity food production
- Ability to manage team of up to 8 employees
- Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and department software
- Three years of experience in institutional food service operations, preferably in a school nutrition environment
