Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an instrumental music field from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in subject area assigned
- Applicants in Alternative Certification Programs (ACP) must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
- Strong communication, public relations, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing instrumental music
Salary
- $56,200 for Beginning Teachers with "0" years experience
- Salary based on experience
- $1,000 Master's Degree stipend
- Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree stipend
- $3,000 Assistant Band Director - Baker 6th Grade Campus stipend
The District contributes $370/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $145/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
