Position: Secretary, Principal - La Porte High School

Main Purpose 

Facilitate the efficient operation of the campus principal's office and provide support services to the other staff at the campus. Handle confidential information and frequent contact with all levels of district personnel, outside agencies and the general public.

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• Secretarial/clerical experience
• Two years of higher education preferred

Experience: Three years of secretarial/clerical experience emphasizing public relations, preferred

The district contributes $400/monthly to the cost of "employee-only" health insurance which is $175/monthly greater than the state required amount of $225/monthly.

Pay Grade: PG 5, 240 Days 

Minimum    $17.30 hourly / $33,216 annually

Midpoint    $20.85 hourly / $40,032 annually

Maximum   $24.40 hourly / $46,848 annually

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide travel

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
