Position: Summer School Extended School Year (ESY) Aide, Instructional

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate
• Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity 

Job Description:

• Assist summer school administrators and teachers as required. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher
• Summer School Instructional Aides ESY

Other Information: 

• June 12 - June 29 (Monday - Thursday)
• Session Hours:  8:30 am - 11:30 am
• Work/Prep Day: June 8
• Staff Work Hours: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

• Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stoopping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
• Motion: Frequent walking 
• Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
• Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements
• Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress
