Position:  High School Summer School Teacher, Credit Recovery (Grades 9-12)

Location:  La Porte High School

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate 
• Knowledge of the Edgenuity online curriculum

Job Description:

• Summer School Teacher, High School Credit Recovery (Grades 9-12) 
• Daily progress-monitoring through Edgenuity
• Student progress will be recorded and reported on a daily basis
• Parent communication of student participation and progress, as needed

Other Information: 

• Dates: June 7-22 (Monday-Thursday)
• Session Hours: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
• Staff Work/Prep Day: June 6
• Staff Hours: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

• Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stoopping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
• Motion: Frequent walking 
• Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
• Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements
• Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress
